Choose the right Mattress, Guidelines for your Comfort

Every modern man and woman should have modern amenities within their house. For example, you would not walk into an apartment without expecting that this person owns a television or some sort of computer device. VCRs are outdated and the new wave of DVDs and digital media has arisen. That’s a great segue to my next topic, updating your mattress.

Why should you update your mattress? The first reason to update any mattress is by recognizing the importance of the mattress itself. Your mattress is definitely the one way ticket to increasing the quality of your life and the happiness of your experiences during the day. People, on average, get one to two hours less of sleep than their body requires. This is a very bad way to go about your life, and in order to understand the importance of life one must understand the importance of sleep as we spent one third of our life sleeping!

So now that you know how important the right mattress is, I will present you with the two options. One is the common option that most people have in their homes to date. This is the less evolved option of innerspring mattresses. Next, the other option of memory foam mattresses represents those consumers who are in the crème of the crop and have acquired the latest technology.

The best mattresses are those who have firmness, and an even distribution of all your body weight. By giving you support in the three main parts of your body (your upper neck, your thoracic region, and your lumbar) you will get a more quality driven sleep cycle that will help you relieve any pain that you may have from your workday. Much of the soothing effects of a mattress are built upon the flow of blood and circulation within your body, as well as support. That being said, much of these considerations for mattress are trumped by the quality of a memory foam mattress.

Memory foam mattresses, or Visco-Elastic memory foam has been developed over 30 years ago by NASA in ensuring a better nights sleep for the astronauts in space. The importance characteristics of a mattress, identified above, show that the memory foam in fact meets up to expectations. It has a density property that allows the mattress to either shape around the sleeping person, and then also allows for adjustments to be made based upon whether the person is under warm or cold conditions. The value of this adjustment, rather the speed of this adjustment determines the quality of the foam mattress. Meanwhile, if you want to talk about spring loaded mattresses, then we are unable to discuss many of the features that are now unavailable for such types of mattresses. For example, there is no such thing as memory foam for these mattresses, and the springs can not adjust themselves in real-time to the conditions of the bedroom. Absorption of body heat is also impossible. Therefore, if you’re a sucker for temperature sensitivity then make the right choice and buy a foam mattress.

There Are New Advancements in Mattress Technology…

Hi! I’m here to tell you all you need to know about mattress. One may think that this particular subject is commonplace and not a topic of any urgency. But this is exactly one of the many important lifestyle choices that many of us are misinformed and falsely apathetic about.

Sleep constitutes one third of a person’s lifespan, on average. That being said this is one of the few chances that you will ever make a momentous and pivotal life changing choice any time soon. This choice is your mattress. Your mattress does more than lay underneath you but also supports you while you sleep. Many people opt for varieties of mattresses including soft, firm, elastic, inclined and declined, but it is now safe to say that many of these varieties are obsolete.

Thanks to advances in engineering and scientific research at NASA, there are now additional mattresses that are available to help surround the customer within a padding consisting of several layers of foam. These mattresses hold an intimate rapport with the costumer, establishing contact with the skin and muscles and creating a feedback system. This feedback system is the true buying factor here, as it adjusts temperature and pressure to soothe the skin and body and create a great night’s comfort. It is important to see that resting upon a mattress gives the customer the added bonus of comfort as well as durability.

In comparison with many of the modern day foams that are out there in the markets for lower prices, or the spring loaded mattresses prevalent in a lot of the lower echelon mattress stores, the foam mattresses sold here have a very important benefit to the consumer. The more layers of foam that are built upon the mattress, a much higher durability rating, and longer chance of this mattress assisting you in comfort for the rest of your life! Many times people will settle for the cheaper priced mattress, but here we say WATCH OUT! This is a major investment that you will be undertaking, and it is key that you verify that this mattress is a foam, memory mattress, and not a look-alike.

Variations in Visco-Elastic Foam Mattresses

In today’s day and age, with all the loud noise and the even louder news headlines, it may be hard to catch up on some well needed sleep. Recently, I’ve just bought a Memory Foam Mattress and I cannot even imagine how I was able to catch a night’s sleep months before!

After using the visco-elastic memory foam mattress for 2 months, I have decided to report all the changes and differences in my sleeping patterns. After the first month I’ve noticed a considerable change in the way I sleep, and not just the time. I am rolling around the bed a lot less, and then instead of getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom or grab a snack, I am able to do this when I get up, instead. As a result my doctor has reported a significant decrease in my hypertension and blood pressure, and has claimed that the reason I am not getting up in the middle of the night was most probably due to the new memory foam mattresses. When you roll around less, and are able to catch interrupted sleep, this is a lot better for your sleeping pattern. All human beings run on something called REM sleep which stands for Rapid Eye Movement. During this phase of your sleep you are basically rejuvenating your tired mind. While under this phase nothing can stop you from waking up, but it is the cycle between the various other stages that may reduce your sleep and make you wake up as you are not as deeply passed out! It is important to maximize your comfort and temperature during these intermittent stages to make sure you don’t inadvertently get up and disrupt your sleep.

Now, while you may not be willing to fork over thousands of pounds for a memory foam mattress (especially when you can buy any other less specialized visco-elastic fiber) I am happy to exclaim that you still have many other options, and some of these options might even be a better mattress choice for you.

Do Your Mattress Research, Visco-Elastics is the Wave of the Future

Every time I opened the television, I can’t get enough of all these random advertisements and commercials telling me to do this or buy that. The point is well taken, and it seems that at some point they’re just being pushovers. When I bought my memory foam mattress, you know, the memory foam that has been being advertised as the premier mattress that should be in any bedroom for the last 5 years, I was more than excited. I hopped onto the bed for the first time, grabbed some nice warm comforters and then passed out immediately.

There are many different types of mattresses that are out there, including the spring loaded mattress, latex mattress, innerspring, futons, toppings, water beds, and air mattresses. To each his own, I say, and if you think that you can get a water bed or an air mattress without killing your lumbar support ( the support of your lower back that is important to keep firm and established during sleep) then go out and buy these products. I Dare You!

Meanwhile, I’m here to talk about the visco-elastic fibres that are found in memory foam mattresses. These mattresses were first developed in the early 1970s in order to a more comforting and mobile sleeping solutions to the astronauts of the time. Basically what was going on is that NASA found a new and ideal way of creating a real-time support and comfort adjustment to astronauts who were floating around in space. I think this idea is great, because now when you roll around in your bed and heat up or cool down in the long or short winter and summer months, the mattress will be right there able to support and adjust to your comfort level.

Characterize YOUR Mattress TODAY

What is in a mattress? Well this all depends on what you buy. Many people are reported as to having some major medical problems that usually tend to branch out from the poor decision making that goes into buying a bad mattress. Your back support, while you sleep, is one of the most important aspects of your health as 1/3rd of your life is spent sleeping. You better take advantage of this time to rejuvenate your mind, and bring relaxing comfort to your body so that you can hit the tasks of the day ahead.

When buying a mattress you may be interested in finding out a solution based upon the durability and lifespan of a mattress. After much research on the internet, and a laboratory set up here in the basement testing all the older mattresses, I’ve identified a great range of quality and durability with each mattress. Innerspring mattresses are the worst type of mattresses as these mattresses can only last up to a decade. Many times these mattresses must be replaced within 5 years. Then next up you have the the water beds or air mattresses. To people thinking about buying these I must say please don’t! This will be a horrible health decision as much of these mattresses do not give you the firm comfort that is necessary to support your back and other extremities. Finally we move on to the Visco-elastic fibre mattress, that can be found as marketed by companies like Memflex.

While durability is important, and in my opinion of utmost importance, comfort and support are two other vital facets that should be taken into account. So, the next time that you are in a mattress store, make sure that you test the mattress out. Lie down upon the mattress and roll around, testing for firmness, depth, and the ability for your body to connect with the support of the mattress. Make sure to educate yourself with the mattress professional, and do not be bashful about asking the important questions. Also if you are involved in a relationship, do make sure to shop together!

The Ins and Outs of a Better Mattress Lifestyle

What if I were to tell you that there is a simple way of getting a better quality of life? What if one decision that you will make in the next three hours maintained the value of every experience that you will embark upon for the rest of your life? This decision is your mattress, and it is so important that there are several public service announcements that have been made, as well as a federal Council to ensure that there are better quality of sleep throughout our nation. The Better Sleep Council known as BSC, founded in 1979, has been charged with ensuring that consumers have a better, more insightful experience when going to shop for mattresses, as the decision is so important in determining the quality of your life!

Sleep is the only way that a human being can survive. Sleep comes in various cycles that are acting in synchronized coordination and allowing your brain to react to the experiences of the last day, rejuvenate, and plan ahead for the experiences of tomorrow. The average person that does in fact get sleep is grossly under the required amount of sleep needed. The average person requires roughly 7 or 8 hours of sleep a night, but instead of getting this amount they are meeting only 6 or 5 of these hours.

The most important part of this whole article is that the decision of your mattress is the only thing keeping you away from insanity, or maybe even just unhealthiness. If you want to ensure that you are going to get the best out of your day tomorrow, makes you buy a mattress. The choice isn’t hard, especially if you have the insight that you have now. The first choice that should be made is what type of mattress are you willing to buy? The point is, these mattresses, developed by Nasa, are definitely within the consumer guide as having some true and measured technological advances for allowing better sleep. While the mattress is important, there are many other guidelines to follow surrounding your sleep.

You should only use your mattress for sleeping and sex. This means do not mix work related materials, or televisions into the bed as this will ruin the sleep schedule that your mind has set up for the environment surrounding the mattress. Also, do remember to establish regular sleep and wake times, and then do not change this up during the weekends. A nice hot bath before sleep, and warm milk may help you sleep better.

Memory Foam Mattress, Mattress of the Future Available Today

Memory foam mattresses are the mattresses of our future. Many people have not yet understood the importance and the gravity of the situation at hand, when it comes to mattress decisions. If you are a healthy individual, between the ages of 18-28, you may not understand what I’m talking about! But again, if you are 30+ and you are rolling around in your bed, it may be time that you heed to what I’m saying. The simple fact is that the right mattress choice can eventually be a life and death decision, with the BSC (Better Sleep Council) discussing the fact that a good mattress can drastically improve the quality of your life!

The best mattresses that I’ve come across thus far is the memory foam mattress that was initially developed by NASA in the early 1970s. This was during a time of great trial and tribulation for NASA, and thankfully something positive came out of it! The Memory foam mattresses have a great deal of scientific prowess and technological advancements within them.

I thought it was so cool that these mattresses are made from a chemical called polyurethane, and that these additive chemicals can have major leaps and bounds for adjusting the comfort level of the mattress. The Viscosity level, or the ability for the mattress to morph and be flexible is increased by these chemicals, and as a result you see an increase in the density of the materials that make up the mattress. These mattresses are commonly called “Visco-elastic fibres.”

The real beauty of these fibres, or the mattress that is composed of these fibres, is the fact that it adjusts the firmness based upon the actual temperature of the environment. Therefore, if the temperature in the room is cool while you are sleeping on the mattress, the mattress will then become firmer and tighter around your body. Vice Versa, if the temperature is warm, you will see softer and less firm mattress underneath you. The lower the density, the more pressure adjustments can be made.

Since buying the visco-elastic foam mattress, many people have come up to me and told me that I was a fool for making the decision when I can buy much cheaper foam mattress. Obviously I didn’t bother to tell them that I’m making a decision that will positive affect the quality of my life and that there is money well spent here. Instead I told them that memory foam mattresses are much denser than the foam mattresses that they are used to. This in turn creates a more steady and heavier mattress that will be firm when I need to be and not as firm during warmer environments. The higher the density of the mattress, the slower that there is a change between positions and the more firm the mattress will be. That way I don’t have to pick between a soft or firm mattress and can have the best of both worlds! Yet, there are so many options and configurations available when choosing a memory foam mattress; remember to choose the right height, density, and type to combine to the more suitable personal mattress.

Why does Visco Elastic Foam Simply WORK?

The next time that you’re about to go and buy a memory foam mattress, I hope that you know what you’re getting yourself into. For example, did you know that memory foam mattresses were created in the early 1970s during a NASA research boom for astronauts going into space?

Here I am and here I will tell you what to look for the next time you’re in the store trying to find a perfect mattress to suit yourself and your partner. The first tip for any consumer is do not expect to understand everything about your mattress and the feel of your mattress by just trying it out in the store. By all means, go out and try out various types of mattresses by lying upon them and testing the comfort. But at the same time, trust us when we say that you will never fully comprehend the quality and comfort of your memory foam mattress without actually being in the heat of the moment and utilizing your mattress day in and night out. This means that you should most probably go out and find yourself a trial period that you will be able to enjoy the mattress within, and if you end up NOT enjoying the mattress you will have the option of adjusting the various configurations of your visco-elastic foam mattress and then retrying. When taking your mattress home for the first time, make sure the change up the variables that are involved with your sleep environment. For example, test your mattress under conditions of hot and cold, and in different rooms where the conditions might be different. Remember, I know my way around this market, and do not settle for anything less than a full refund if you are in fact not happy with your mattress after testing it out.

The density, height, and depth of a mattress, especially foam mattress, will give you a lot of ideas about how this mattress reacts under the given situations of variables. When the density of your mattress is high, the mattress foam will take longer to adjust to variables such as increase in temperature or pressure. Therefore these mattresses tend to be firmer and allow for less leeway in terms of adjustments to these temperatures. This is usually preferred by those who enjoy a firm night’s sleep. Remember to be practical when buying a mattress, and understand the dimensions of your bed base, the room, and the temperature of the room that you sleep in to keep conditions under optimal circumstances.

Properties of Visco-Elastic Foam Mattress, Density and IDL

What does the density of the foam mattress you’re sleeping on tell you about the mattress? Well definitely there are numerous ways of characterizing a foam mattress, but the first way you should understand what the mattress is about is by comparing the density as well as the Indentation Load Deflection rating.

The denser the mattress, the more additives and materials that are within the foam that you’re sleeping upon. Remember, the foam is visco-elastic foam that is made from polyurethane. Therefore, the better and more expensive the mattress is, the best quality foam is used within the mattress and the less additives that are placed. The higher grade has less of these raw materials that you may find in the high density mattresses, and as a result is maybe less firm but also definitely more adjustable to your needs as you sleep. Next time you go into the store, make sure to try out the different types of mattresses, but most importantly understand the quality and flexibility that is coupled with firmness of the higher grade and higher quality mattresses.

Next, the Indentation Load Deflection of the mattress, of the ILD, is a measure of the firmness of the mattress foam, or a measure of hardness and softness. So this is measured purely by the application of pressure to the mattress and then by measuring how much of this pressure will form how much of an indentation within the foam. The greater the amount of pressure needed, depending on how little or how long the indentation is, will give consumers a great deal of understanding of the firmness of the foam. A good ILD rating is around 12lb-14lb.

Remember, when you are buying a memory foam mattress, a lot of what you’re buying goes into the quality of the product. Quality in this sense, is beyond the actual comfort of the mattress, but more in tune with the durability of the mattress. Most memory foam mattresses will last about 15 years, sometimes even 20. Warranties are included for most mattresses up to 10 years. There are a few guidelines that you should probably follow when using the mattress to ensure durability. This means do not undo the vacuum sealing until the mattress is in the room and position that you desire, and then make sure to flip the mattress every 2 years.
